Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitarist. She also sings. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and first female recipient. In addition to the nine Grammy awards She was also the first musician of Indian origin to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shakar, a young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She's a daughter of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born 1982 in London. Her childhood years were split in London in London and New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi at the tender 13 years old. After that, she relocated into Encinitas CA, where she received her High School diploma with honors in the year 1999. The career of Anouskha as a musician and performer is impressive, despite her young age. For a long time she regularly performs with her father. Her debut solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. She released the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years after. Stage performances are a large part of her career. She has performed in a variety of famous venues around the globe. Her career doesn't just involve music. In 2002, she released an autobiography titled Bapi The love of My Live this is a pictorial biography which gives a special honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as a Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Her career continues to grow and she'll continue to achieve great success in the future. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent much of her youth living between London and Delhi later relocating to California where she went to high school. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75 Anoushka first made an appearance performing the sitar before the crowd of just four years after her 9-year-old father. Anoushka gained a lot of experience by touring around the globe together with the father. She performed at Carnegie Hall in her teenage years, and recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. It is the House of Commons Shield was given an award by the British Parliament as the top Asian Arts musician. She is the only female and is the smallest recipient of the distinction.
