Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. Her most famous role was in the role of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding supporting Performance on a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her interest in the stage. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna was working in the theatre in the Chicago area for a few years prior to trying her luck in TV and films. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She was cast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully and Deadwood was a different film that she appeared in. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was launched in 2022. The drama of Breaking Bad is determined by the love story with Walter White, his wife Skyler and their uneasy relationship. The degrading of this relationship is akin to Walter White's dying years.
